Originally, Johan L. M. Björkegren’s surname was misspelled as Björkgren, ref. 86 (Koplev et al., Nat. Cardiovasc. Res. 1, 85–100 (2022)) was missing, while, in Fig. 6a “chr1” appeared as “chr6” and in Extended Data Fig. 5a, “rs998584” appeared as “rs9985854.” The errors have been corrected online.
